Anathemata Editions
Anathemata Editions is a small, private art-based music and art imprint run by Baltimore, MD–based visual artist and musician Terence Hannum (Locrian). The project is intentionally limited in scope and circulation, and is not an open-call platform or a commercial label.
Submission Policy
Submissions are considered only from individuals who are already engaged with the label and its work. If you are submitting, it is assumed that you are familiar with Anathemata Editions and have previously purchased or supported an edition. This imprint is built on shared taste, trust, and sustained interest—not visibility, clicks, racism, popularity, smoke blowing, sexism, career development, top-ten lists, homophobia, pay-to-play review sites, fascism, statistics on some mercenary streaming platform, or what your friends think.
Position & Scope
Anathemata Editions is not a major label, and does not have, nor seek, major distribution, mass exposure, or industry-facing growth. Releases are produced in small, deliberately limited physical editions, typically ranging from 15 to 100 copies, depending on the nature of the project. Anathemata Editions does not maintain digital label pages on mercenary streaming platforms, that is for the artists to navigate and reconcile with their own consciences about how best to slice infinite pennies in the sale of their soul and IP.
The value of the work lies in its intent, material presence, and context rather than reach.
